Answers to some questions you might have!
-
Wilkinson Church of Christ was established in 1913.
-
We have two different styles of service! Our 8:30 service features a traditional feel, while our 10:45 service offers a contemporary worship setting. But you’ll be welcomed and loved at either service!
-
Service typically runs an hour in length.
-
You don’t need to bring anything with you, but here a couple things that might come in handy!
A Bible: You can’t beat a paper Bible to follow the message - and if you don’t have one, contact a member of our team and we’ll get you one!
Something to take notes with: This is definitely not required, but if you’re a note taker, this could be helpful!
-
Nope! Dress however is most comfortable with you! If you want to dress all the way up for church, go for it! If you feel most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, go for it!
For reference, staff can be found wearing anything from business casual dress clothes to jeans and a hoodie!

People begin arriving anytime between 30 minutes before service to even a couple minutes late! We always recommend allowing yourself a little bit of time to park, grab a cup of coffee, and find your seat without feeling rushed! With that said, we get it - piling everyone in the car on Sunday morning is easier said than done!
If you have children, be sure to allow time to check your child into their classroom. Come in through the Southeast door and our check in team will walk you through the process!
-
We have Sunday morning programming available for birth through 5th grade! Feel free to check out our Children’s Ministry page for more info!
For those nursing, we have a Nursing Mothers Room in the children’s wing of the church. A TV monitor is there so you can still be part of service!
-
Our 8:30 service features traditional, “old school” hymns and songs. Our 10:45 service plays more modern worship music.
Worship Expression:
How you express yourself during worship is totally up to you - you will see people standing still with hands in their pockets as well as people raising their hands and singing at the top of their voice, and everything in between!
-
Nope! We won’t ask you to stand up or draw attention to yourself. Although we’re sure our lovely people will come introduce themselves to let you know you are welcome!
-
Every week we take time to receive tithes and offerings. Please do not feel obligated to give. While you are absolutely welcome to give if you desire, it is not an expectation placed on our visitors.
-
There are several ways to get connected at Wilkinson Church of Christ! Find community through a small group, join a serve team, or fill out a Connection Card and we’ll get in touch with you!
-
Anytime! Please come as you are - nobody has it all together. At Wilkinson Church of Christ, we are a body of imperfect people learning what it means to follow Christ TOGETHER. No matter who you are, what you have done, or where you have been, you are welcome here and you and are unconditionally loved by God.
